Why segmentation is important

One of the biggest challenges you face, as business owners, is figuring out where to focus your marketing energies.

Whilst you might have a good idea on how to attract and convert new leads, how much information do you have on what it costs to acquire a new customer?  Do you know which types of customers cost the least to maintain?

Studies show that it typically costs 3-30 times more to convert a new customer vs marketing to existing customers.

So, you’ve probably got a pretty good idea who your customers are, and might already be sorting them by interests, urgency, business type, or some other metric.

Segmenting your market into key groups

You may know that the average customer is going to spend “X amount” in a single transaction. But, do you know how much your relationship with that customer is worth in the long run?
